Redemption in all its definition is a gem in multiple facets. And it’s worth the effort to reflect on its various faces. Here is one.
Colossians 1:13-14 says, “He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of his beloved Son. For in the Son all our sins are cancelled and we have the release of redemption through his very blood.” (TPT)
We have been removed from legal custody; delivered; of the authority and dominion of the rulers of darkness, and moved to the kingdom (king’s dominion) of Jesus. Any association with our old life has been cancelled out and redemption life begins from a new habitation. It is important to understand, we don’t have to fight and battle to get where we’ve been established. We leave behind and break alignment with any lies that would have us believe otherwise and confidently possess our position. Often our battle is not in what we have, it’s about what we believe we have. Believing the truth sets us free.
